Fund Objective
The Prime Flexible Income Fund shall primarily have its growth through income generating investments but might from time to time have a capital growth component as is the nature of the instruments held in the portfolio.
Investment Strategy
Investments to be included in the Fund shall normally comprise of a combination of fixed interest instruments along the full spectrum of the yield-curve as well as short-term dated cash instruments, listed property shares and preference shares. Duration, curvature, credit, derivative and liquidity risks shall be actively traded in order to maximise returns.
Fund Universe
The investment portfolio investible universe shall be limited to cash, bonds, listed property, preference shares, listed derivatives and any other securities which are consistent with the portfolio’s objectives.
Investor Profile
This fund is suitable for investors with a medium-term investment horizon (3-5yrs) who require capital preservation as well as consistent returns above inflation without exposure to equity markets.

Itumeleng has ten years’ experience in the financial services which includes, investment advisory, investment management, fund management and portfolio management. Itumeleng started his career at Sanlam SFA and spent a year there. Itumeleng worked at Balondolozi Investment Services, heading up the Fixed Income team.
Qualifications: BSc (Actuarial Science & Financial Mathematics)
Beniam graduated with a BSc in Actuarial Science in 2022 and has been working in the financial services industry for just over three years. He has already made notable contributions in data analytics and financial management. He is committed to growing within the industry and is actively progressing with his ASSA board exams. Beniam has demonstrated a strong dedication to learning and development, contributing to different projects in the team.

Itumelengi is a Fixed Income Analyst and has developed strong exposure across fixed income and equities. She worked at Standard Bank within the Global Markets unit, where she gained practical experience on the Fixed Income Sales desk and collaborated closely with bond traders and research analysts. She also formed part of the FEZEKA Graduate Program, completing rotations at STANLIB and the Public Investment Corporation. At Pi, Itumeleng supports the Fixed Income Portfolio Manager. Itumeleng holds a BCom in Investment Management from the University of the Witwatersrand and is currently a CFA Level 1 candidate. She is passionate about fixed income strategy, data-driven decision-making, and long-term value creation.
