Fund Objective
The primary investment objective of the Prime Optimal Balanced Fund of Funds is to seek steady growth of capital and income over a period of time.
Investment Strategy
Investments to be included in the fund shall consist of participatory interests of investment portfolios of collective investment schemes and shall at all times comply with regulation 28 of the Pension Funds Act. The blended solution shall maintain a balanced level of high-income generating instruments while maintaining an optimal level of equity exposure through exchange traded funds.
Fund Universe
The fund will invest primarily in a range of participatory interests of investment portfolios with investment policies which are characterized as being passive exchange traded funds.
Investor Profile
The fund is suitable for investors who are cost conscious and are seeking exposure to high yield investments whilst maintaining an exposure to growth assets. The fund offers immediate liquidity.

Tatum Starkey is the portfolio manager of local and global equities. Her role involves meticulously analysing listed companies in the local and offshore space. Tatum has over a decade of professional experience, 9 of them in the investment profession covering multi-asset funds, property funds, equity analysis, credit and portfolio management.

Itumeleng has ten years’ experience in the financial services which includes, investment advisory, investment management, fund management and portfolio management. Itumeleng started his career at Sanlam SFA and spent a year there. Itumeleng worked at Balondolozi Investment Services, heading up the Fixed Income team.
Qualifications: BCom (Finance), BCom Hons (Investment Management), CFA Level 2 Candidate
Refilwe holds a Bachelor of Commerce in Finance and a Bachelor of Commerce (Honours) in Investment Management from the University of Johannesburg. She began her career in the financial services industry in 2022 at Momentum Financial Planning. She then joined the Vunani-Coronation Equity Analyst Training Program in 2024, where she gained valuable equity analysis experience. In 2025, she joined Pi Investment Managers as an Equity Analyst, where she supports the Equities Portfolio Manager with both local and offshore equity research and analysis. Refilwe is currently a CFA Level II candidate and continues to deepen her expertise in equity markets through rigorous analysis and a commitment to professional growth.
